Description of activities

The social services are looking for hourly workers who can work throughout the year if necessary and also summer workers during the period June-August. Interventions are provided around the clock, every day of the year, to people who need support to manage their daily lives. The social services department operates in the areas of home care, nursing homes (accommodation for the elderly) and disability.

The presentation of an identity card is compulsory for all temporary workers. You may also need to present a current work permit or residence permit.

Duties and responsibilities

You must be able to provide good care, activate and guide the individual based on the individual's needs. During your temporary work and based on your skills, you may work in several of the social administration's activities.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have experience or interest in working in health and social care. we see that you have health and social care education or other education that the employer considers equivalent. We value that you have a good ability to cooperate and a positive drive in the meeting with the people who need support and help. You are flexible, responsible and patient; you must be at least 18 years old. To do the job, you must have sufficient knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Under the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

Requirements

Driving license B for home care, rural areas and some activities in disability. Presentation of a driving license is mandatory if you are employed in areas where a driving license is required.

Presentation of a criminal record is required for work in the Department of Disabilities and work with children under the age of 18.
