Business description

Mariaskolan is a f-6 school with about 150 students and a recreation department, located in a residential area near the center. At Mariaskolan, the Gällivare model project is underway, which means that in each class 1-6 they work a teacher responsible for teaching and a class mentor.

Tasks

The work includes substituting in grades F-6 and after-school care. A house substitute's mission is to step in and substitute for absent staff at the school; as a teacher, student assistant, etc. You are usually based on a completed lesson planning and the assignment is very varied. We strive to ensure that, as far as possible, you only cover absences in primary or middle school and in the afternoons at after-school programs.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with an upper secondary education, childcare worker or other education that the employer considers equivalent. As a person, you are positive, create commitment, participation and see to the needs of each student. You are responsive and create good relationships, both with students, colleagues and with guardians. In your work with the pupils, you are clear in your leadership towards the pupils. We also believe that you are innovative and interested in school development and we place great value in the ability to collaborate. Great importance is attached to personal suitability. Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
