Description of activities
Tallbackaskolan is an F-6 school with about 300 pupils, an after-school program and two preparatory classes, located in a residential area between Gällivare and Malmberget. At Tallbackaskolan we work with parts of the Gällivare model, which means that in each class in grades 1-2 there is a teacher responsible for teaching and a class mentor.
In grades 3-6, a teacher responsible for teaching works with the support of a class mentor who may be attached to one or more classes. The central student health service is located at the school and students have access to a school counselor, school nurse, 2 special educators, school psychologist and the principals.
Fritidshemmet is a complement to the school where students' abilities are developed through various forms of expression and based on the students' interests.
Tasks and duties
A house substitute's job is to fill in for absent staff at the school; as a teacher, student assistant, etc. You are usually based on a completed lesson plan and the assignment is very varied. We strive to ensure that, as far as possible, you only cover absences at the primary or middle school and in the afternoons at the after-school program.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have at least upper secondary education. We believe that you are positive, create commitment, participation and see to the needs of each student. As a person, you are responsive and create good relationships, both with students, colleagues and with guardians. In your work with students, you are clear in your leadership. We also believe that you are innovative and interested in school development and we place great value in the ability to collaborate.
Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
