Maria Preschool is located in central Gällivare close to the library, swimming pool and museum.

Maria Preschool has organized the activities in age-divided groups. The preschool consists of 2 buildings with separate courtyards. In one building there are 3 departments with children aged 1-2 years. In the other building there are 5 departments with children in age-divided groups aged 3-5 years. At Maria Preschool, we work in 3, 4, and 5-year-old groups, which means that the teams collaborate across the departments and give the children the opportunity to explore and discover different learning environments.

Work tasks

You will work in all departments of the preschool and cover for short-term absences. As a housekeeper, it is of great importance that you are flexible and positive. The work as a house substitute / childminder means that you, together with the team, design a safe and developing education for the children in the preschool's departments. The curriculum guidelines describe the responsibility you have in the team when it comes to developing, following up and evaluating the activities and education.

Qualifications

Trained childminder or other experience that the employer considers equivalent.

It is essential:

• that you are familiar with our governing document, Läroplan för förskolan (Lpfö18),
• that you are a confident and clear leader, have the ability to take your own initiative, are positive and have confidence in the children's different skills,
• that you are interested in developing the learning environments,
• that you are concerned about trusting relationships with children and guardians and that you have good collaboration skills,
• that you use pedagogical conversations and pedagogical documentation in your work,

Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

You need to provide an extract from the police's criminal record for work in schools and childcare when hiring.
