Gällivare municipality is undergoing a major social transformation, which means an exciting development for the community and for the school, we are moving communities, we are building new schools, repairing others, new multiarena and new housing will be ready in the near future. We have been working for a number of years on school structure to bring the secondary school into one school. We also have schools for grades F-6 of varying sizes in the community and in the countryside.Hedskolan is a nice F-6 school and adapted primary school with about 500 students, located in a residential area and close to the center. The proximity to both the forest and ski tracks is tangible and is used extensively by students and teachers in teaching and at breaks. The work teams are divided into stages and grades with close cooperation around all our students. The atmosphere is characterized by openness and curiosity about new ways of working. We place great emphasis on pedagogical discussions and collegial learning, which is the driving force in our development work. The school's profile is movement and outdoor life.
Tasks
A house substitute's mission is to step in and substitute for absent staff at the school, for example as a teacher, resource or class mentor. You are usually based on a completed lesson plan and the assignment is very varied. We strive to ensure that, as far as possible, you only cover absences in primary or middle school. As a house substitute, you also work in the afternoons at the after-school center.
Qualifications
We are looking for you with at least upper secondary education or other education that the employer considers equivalent. It is an advantage if you have experience of working with children/pupils in different contexts. We are looking for you who are flexible and have a present and responsive approach to the different needs of students, are a clear leader and have good collaboration skills. You are independent, responsible and able to take initiative. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
Requirement for employment - extract from the police's criminal record.
In the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
