Description of activities

Health care is organized in a joint Department for Home Care, which is responsible for interventions performed by nurses, occupational therapists and physiotherapists in both ordinary and special housing. We have close cooperation between the units.

Job duties

As a registered nurse, you are responsible for healthcare interventions in nursing and care homes and in ordinary housing. As a resource nurse, you will be based at Enen's nursing home, but you will work out towards all our units where there is a need to safeguard our operations in the event of absence or high workload. The assignment includes coordinating good care for our patients, where you are part of the teamwork around the individual and their relatives. The assignment also includes supervision in the work team. We are a total of 25 nurses in the team distributed in different areas. We have close collaboration between colleagues and with the medically responsible nurse at the municipality.

Qualifications

Registered nurse, meritorious if you have further education that is suitable for the assignment or experience of similar work. You should be confident in working independently but also be confident in working in a team with other staff, be solution-focused and flexible. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. A B driving license is required.

Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

Working hours/duration

Permanent position, Gällivare Municipality offers reduced working hours to all permanently employed nurses in the Social Administration. The basic schedule will be a daytime schedule with weekend duty. Night and afternoon shifts are included in the schedule when needed.
