In Gällivare municipality, we have a unit with all authority exercise in the social services areas. We are now looking for a social worker who wants to become an important cog in the business of children and young people. The organization of the assistance unit is divided into two parts of the exercise of authority within the social administration, each activity has an activity manager, one for the group of children and young people and one for the adult group, in addition, you have a coordinator in each activity.

Within the Children and Youth activity there are social secretaries in children and young people, family law, family home care, open care, LSS and family counseling. We are now looking for a social worker who wants to work as a coordinator in the business.

Duties

The coordinator's duties will be to support the social secretaries and the unit's other areas in the daily work. The purpose of the position is to ensure and maintain legal certainty in the exercise of authority. The work of the coordinator involves, among other things:

Keep up to date on current case law

Ensure that the social secretary group works in accordance with guidelines and legislation

Client treatment is good

Documentation is of good quality

Identify necessary development areas (external monitoring)

Internal and external collaboration in the work area

Support the caseworkers in their investigations, assessments and choice of interventions

Assist caseworkers in home visits and emergency cases/situations where there is a need

Follow-up and control of the group's ongoing cases

The work will take place in close collaboration with the employees within the unit, the heads of operations within the Assistance Unit and the coordinator for the Adult Group.

You do not have your own cases but should be available as a support in cases handled in the unit. This is a position where you will thrive if you like a job in constant change, at a high pace and great variety of tasks. The service includes standby duty.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a social worker degree, good knowledge of current legislation and experience of working with children and young people. Meritorious if you have knowledge in other areas found in the Children and Youth unit.

You need to have good knowledge of BBIC and current legislation in SoL and LVU. It is also desirable that you have worked with case guidance. You are not afraid of challenges and have a great interest in social work and want to be involved in developing the business. You must be able to express yourself well in speech and writing, have good computer skills and be passionate about collaboration. Important qualities for the position are that you are calm and stable and that you are good at planning and prioritizing. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Driving license B.

Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
