Business description
At the Public Works and Technology Administration, the Property and Service Department is responsible for the municipality's properties, property management, food, cleaning, housing adaptations, car pool, and public transport. Within the Property Management unit, we work in a team consisting of operating technicians, operations managers, administrators and unit managers. Together we are responsible for the operation of Gällivare municipality's properties to be functional for our tenants. The property operation is being developed and will move to an updated property system in 2025. The purpose of the new system is to improve, simplify and clarify the administrative work around operating assignments for both our own operations and for our tenants and contractor contacts. Gällivare municipality is also building new properties where Property Operations has a central role in commissioning.
Now we are looking for another operations technician who wants to be part of our team where problem solving and cooperation are the key words for the business. Duties
As an operations technician, you work alternately with property maintenance and property operations, the assignments are varied and the work is done both independently and together with colleagues. As an operating technician, you have many contacts both internally and externally, which requires you to be easy to cooperate and be service-oriented in dealing with our tenants.
The work includes:
- On-site supervision and maintenance of the properties' technical systems
- Servicing heating, ventilation and control systems
- Energy optimization
- Assessment of fault rectification and action proposals
- Troubleshooting of heating, hot water and ventilation problems in our buildings, hot water and ventilation problems at our customers
- Property maintenance
- Repair and maintenance measures in operating technical systems
- Daily communication with customers, operations / tenant, colleagues and suppliers
Qualifications
As a person, you are service-oriented, have a professional approach and enjoy working problem-solving. You enjoy working independently and with colleagues in your operations team. You can independently prioritize and plan your work and are happy to share your knowledge with others in your team.
We would like to see that you have an Operations Technician or Real Estate Technical education or you have acquired equivalent skills through work experience that we consider equivalent to the service. Experience and knowledge in one or more of the following: electricity, control and regulation technology, pipes, ventilation is an advantage. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
B-driving license is a requirement.
In the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
