Description of activities

Gällivare municipality is undergoing a major social transformation, which means exciting developments for the community and for the school. At Hedskolan, we are reviewing various organizational solutions to ensure that the working environment is good and that students receive the best teaching. As a new teacher in Gällivare municipality, you will receive guidance from experienced teachers. We also have developed collegial and collective learning in the schools.

Special educators, special needs teachers, counselors and school nurses are at the school and we work together for the benefit of the students in teams. Class mentors are now present in all classes at Hedskolan and they work mainly with the social parts of the curriculum. Break hosting and break activities are some of the most important tasks of the class mentors.

Work tasks

The position is 100% until further notice. You are a teacher responsible for teaching in a preschool class where you are in charge of planning, mapping and teaching. You are part of both work teams and subject teams where you, together with other educators, are responsible for all students' learning in the work team.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained and licensed preschool teachers.

We are looking for you who want to be involved in developing our exciting business. It is important that

• that you are well acquainted with our policy documents
• that you are a clear leader, independent, responsible and easy to take your own initiatives
  that you are positive and have faith in the children's skills
• you are interested in using digital tools (computer, camera, recorder)
• you are keen to build trusting relationships with children and parents and have good interpersonal skills
• that you use pedagogical discussions and pedagogical documentation in your work
• that you are interested in developing the preschool and, among other things, the learning environments

We attach great importance to personal suitability. Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

An extract from the police criminal record is a requirement.
