Maria Preschool is located in central Gällivare close to the library, swimming pool and museum. The preschool has organized the activities in age-divided groups and consists of 2 buildings, with separate courtyards. In one building there are 3 departments with children aged 1-2 years. In the other building there are 5 departments with children in age-divided groups aged 3-5 years. At Maria preschool, we work in 3, 4, and 5-year-old groups, which means that the teams collaborate across the departments and give the children the opportunity to explore and discover different learning environments.

The curriculum (Lpfö18), the children's interests and abilities guide the activities, which promotes the opportunity for the educators to work with research together with the children. The preschool has flexible teams that work together for collegial learning.

Tasks

As a preschool teacher, you take responsibility for teaching in the team and the preschool with the preschool curriculum - Lpfö18 as a basis, which means that you plan both implementation and reflection in collaboration with the team. You take responsibility for learning environments, are committed and have a positive view of children and children's learning.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed preschool teacher. It is important:

• that you are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lpfö18),
• that you have knowledge of and use digital tools.
• that you are keen to create trusting relationships with children and guardians and that you have good collaboration skills.
• that you develop and drive the preschool forward according to the curriculum.

Strong emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.

Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
