Description of activities

Health care is organized in a joint Department for Home Care, which is responsible for interventions performed by nurses, occupational therapists and physiotherapists in both ordinary and special housing. A round-the-clock operation. We are a team that works closely with each other to provide our patients with good care.

Work tasks

As a registered nurse in the afternoon, you and a colleague are responsible for health care interventions in care homes and ordinary housing. The assignment includes coordinating good care and care where you are part of the teamwork around the individual and their relatives. The assignment also includes supervision in the work team. You will work together with a colleague in the afternoon but are part of a larger team of 25 nurses in total. In the afternoon, you and your colleague will be based in the same room at the start of the shift. Most of the tasks are emergency interventions that you receive by phone from health and care staff, some planned interventions exist but are limited

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse, meritorious if you have further education that is suitable for the assignment. Working independently and being able to collaborate with other staff within the work team and interest in developing the business we see as important. You should also be solution-focused and able to see the big picture. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.B driving license requiredWithin the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

Working hours/duration

Temporary employment. Gällivare Municipality offers reduced working hours to all permanently employed nurses in the Social Administration. When you work in the afternoon, you work for the most part every other week.
