Operations
The Department of Boards and Investigations is a department within the Support and Development Administration. The department is responsible for guardianship activities, committee administration, the municipality's archives, consumer guidance, strategic issues regarding the environment, accessibility, public health, integration, minority languages, information security, digitization, etc. The department has 25 employees divided into units.
Duties
In the daily work, you are responsible for administration to the political committees. This involves drafting notices of meetings, distributing documents, taking minutes, including managing the entire protocol process. You will also provide administrative services to elected representatives, heads of administration and administrators/investigators and coordinate internal and external contacts. Furthermore, the work involves the usual secretarial tasks such as mail handling, registration and archiving of documents. Coordination and secretarial work in municipal councils and invoice management within the department are also included in the service. You participate in the development of case management systems within the municipality and ongoing digitization and streamlining in the daily work. Participation in the planning and implementation of general elections is also part of the committee secretary role.
Qualifications
You have a relevant university education and/or experience of administrative work that the employer considers equivalent. The role requires the ability to work independently, in a structured and service-oriented manner, and to use current IT tools for the task. You need to be service-oriented, communicative. You are responsive and have the ability to see the big picture and focus on quality. You must have a good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish and be comfortable with and comply with regulations and legislation in the field. Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
