In Gällivare municipality, we have a unit with all authority exercise in the social services areas. Now we are looking for social workers who want to work with the exercise of authority in Children and young people.
The organization of the assistance unit is divided into two parts of the exercise of authority within the social administration, each activity has a head of activity, one for the group of children and young people and one for the adult group, in addition we have a coordinator in each activity.
The activities for children and young people consist of social secretaries children and young people, family law, family home care, outpatient care, LSS and family counseling.
Duties
As a social secretary for children and young people, you work mainly with SoL and LVU. You investigate families based on reports or applications received. The work tasks also include following up on outpatient care efforts that the unit's outpatient care executes against families as well as placements in family homes and HVB. We strive to provide families with support at an early stage and as far as possible we work with home placement solutions. We have a division with reception, investigation and intervention in the social secretary group. As we are not so many, we help each other when needed.
The work includes collaboration with other colleagues in our business and collaboration within and outside the municipality. The service includes standby duty.
Qualifications
You should have a social worker degree. As a social worker, you must have good knowledge of current legislation and have a humanistic view of people. It is an advantage if you have previous experience of the work, have training in BBIC, MI, Sign of safety, Childtalk or other relevant in-depth knowledge.
You should be easy to express yourself in speech and writing.
You find it easy to work independently but also enjoy working in a group and being able to maintain good relationships.
You are service-oriented, solution-focused and have a flexible attitude as the work can involve urgent decisions. You need to be confident in yourself and have the ability to set boundaries and have a professional approach.
Driving license B is required.
In the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
