In Gällivare municipality, we have a unit with all authority exercise in the areas of social services. The assistance unit has implemented an organizational change where an operation with two operational managers has been introduced, one for the group of children and young people and one for the group of adults, in addition we have a coordinator in each group. The adult unit consists of social workers who investigate substance abuse, social psychiatry/social support, domestic violence and employment/self-sufficiency. We also handle financial assistance, estates and elderly care. The adult unit includes outpatient care for adult substance abuse. We are now looking for a person who wants to work with the exercise of authority in social psychiatry/social support. A permanent position of 100% where emergency duty is included. The social psychiatry / social support service is part of a group with social secretaries who work with addiction and everyone in the group helps with the processing of cases if one of the social secretaries is absent.

Work tasks

As an authority practitioner in social psychiatry/social support, you are responsible for investigating, assessing and deciding on interventions in accordance with the Social Services Act together with the individual. You work from a holistic approach where the individual's ability and sense of meaningfulness are taken into account. As an employee, you focus on quality, development and legal certainty with a focus on the individual, based on the Social Services Act. The service is focused on investigation, mainly in social psychiatry / social support according to SoL (Social Services Act). We work according to IBIC. In the work at the unit, we collaborate with other colleagues in our business and with other partners.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a social worker or have an education that the employer considers equivalent. You should be able to work independently with case management and you should have good knowledge of current legislation.
As a person, you are easy to cooperate with others but also able to work independently. You should have an empathetic ability and easy to communicate with users, relatives and coworkers. It is positive if you are easy to handle when conditions and planning change in the work and that you can be flexible based on the needs that arise in the work. It is important that you enjoy expressing yourself in writing and that you have good ability to express yourself in both speech and writing. We see that you can contribute to developing working methods and your approach should be characterized by commitment, drive and the ability to take responsibility. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Since February 1, 2022, the assistance unit has introduced a reduction in working hours, with 2.5 hours shorter working hours per week for full-time work, which means a weekly working time of 35.91.
