Business description

Gällivare municipality is undergoing a major social transformation, which means an exciting development for the community and for the school, we are moving communities, we are building new schools, repairing others, new multiarena and new housing will be ready in the near future. We have been working for a number of years on school structure to bring the secondary school together into one school.

Hedskolan is a nice F-6 school and adapted primary school with a total of about 500 students, located in a residential area close to the center. The proximity to both the forest and ski tracks is tangible and is used extensively by students and teachers in teaching and at breaks. We develop our work through pedagogical conversations and collegial learning and see it as a strength to be able to help each other to dare to be curious about new ways of working.

Hedskolan is now looking for two student assistants for adapted primary school!

Tasks

As a student assistant in the adapted primary school, you are responsible for supporting students during the school day based on the individually established goals and plans. You assist and care for the student in the activities that take place both in school and in leisure time in close interaction with educators and the student's guardians. You are positive, create commitment and participation. As a person, you are flexible, responsive and create good relationships.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have an upper secondary education or other education that the employer considers equivalent. If you have experience of working with young people with intellectual disabilities, NPF, or work as a student assistant - preferably at an adapted primary school - it is an advantage. As a person, you should have a present and responsive approach to the different needs of students, be a clear leader and have good collaboration skills. You are independent, responsible and able to take initiative. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

For employment, an extract from the criminal record is required.

Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
