Business description
Savo is part of Gällivare municipality's labor market unit, whose primary mission is to help people outside the regular labor market increase their chances of getting a job in the open labor market. Savo offers meaningful and developing work to people with various functional variations, and who have been referred to Savo through LSS decisions from the social administration. We support individuals in being able to perform the tasks available and strive to find tasks and workplaces based on the individual's will, interest and resources.
Tasks
In your role as a supervisor at Savo, you will work closely with people with different functional variations and you will supervise by verbally and practically conveying how tasks can be performed. You will be involved in the regular work both in our workshop and at our external customers. An important part of the work tasks is some documentation and to regularly follow up and evaluate the users' development. You will interact with social services officers and, where appropriate, the user's representative. You will also have contact with the customers we provide services to, and if necessary create new customer contacts.
Qualifications
You have at least upper secondary education and it is a plus if you have some form of pedagogical education or experience from the educational field. You have experience and interest in working with people from diverse backgrounds and with varying physical and mental limitations. You have some computer skills and are familiar with the Office package. You have a B driving license. You are a self-starter, innovative and solution-oriented. You can work both independently and in a team. You are perceived as a calm and confident person and have a natural aptitude for dealing with people with different disabilities. The work involves some physically demanding elements. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
In the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
