We are looking for a new employee to Malmbacken to replace employees who leave. Malmbacken is located in Gällivare in beautiful surroundings. Residential staff at Malmbacken work together with the residents to create a functioning everyday life where the residents can live as independently as possible based on the individual conditions they have. Residential staff work based on ESL pedagogy (An Independent Life) a program for training social skills where the goal is to teach the individual to live with the difficulties and disabilities caused by the disease. Through the ESL pedagogy's structured way of dealing with everyday difficulties, solving problems and practicing skills, the daily life of the individual is facilitated and developed.
Tasks
As a support assistant in Social Support, you should be able to provide individually designed support. You will guide and support the individual in their daily life and work in a structured way based on individual needs. You must be able to work independently and in collaboration with others and have a professional approach and treatment. You also have an assignment as a contact person and this includes establishing and working according to the individual's implementation plan together with the individual, other professionals and representatives. In the business we use computer-based documentation programs. The work also includes guiding/supporting/following up on and planning various activities. Providing support to the individual in their care of their own home and everyday chores is also part of the assignment
Qualifications
We are looking for you with a three-year nursing program, assistant nurse training, nurse training or other training that the employer considers equivalent. Knowledge/experience of mental disabilities and training in ESL is an advantage. As a person, you must be safe and confident in your role and have the ability to act in a professional and calm manner while maintaining structure. The activities involve physical activities outside the home and you must therefore have an interest in planning and carrying out activities.
Strong emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
In the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
