Description of activities

The Department of Functional Support is an area within the social services that provides support and services to people with functional variations. The activities are based on LSS (the Act on Support and Service). Granbacka is a group home with interventions according to LSS and is located in Mellanområdet in Gällivare. Today, 4 users live there and 12 support assistants work there.

Tasks

The tasks are to support people with functional variations with an individualized everyday support to create good living conditions. As a support assistant, you meet the individual needs of our users based on the implementation plans that are drawn up and based on the guidelines and objectives of the business. The role of the support assistant is to work, based on each user's needs, conditions and interests, to provide support and guidance to the user to develop the ability and opportunity for independence and participation in society. The service includes working independently, professionally and also in collaboration with other staff. You also have the task of contact person and this includes establishing and following up the work based on the implementation plan together with the user, other professionals and representatives. The assignment also includes certain administrative tasks such as documentation, ordering of goods, etc. The service is currently located at Granbacka Gruppbostad.

Qualifications

You have nursing education or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Knowledge and experience in the field of disability, developmental disabilities, autism, psychiatry or methodology adapted for people with disabilities is an advantage. You must be able to express yourself well in speech and writing in the Swedish language and also be able to document according to current legislation. As a person, you are confident and secure in your role and have a good ability to act in a professional manner in all situations that arise. The activities involve physical activities together with users and you must therefore have basic physical ability and an interest in planning and carrying out activities. Great importance is attached to personal suitability. As staff are resource planned within our activities and as work with children may be relevant, we also have a requirement for an extract from the police's criminal record. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

Working hours/Duration

Full time 100%, Temporary, Day, evening and weekend shifts. Night work may be required. Probationary period can be applied.
