Description of activities
Gällivare municipality is undergoing a major social transformation, which means exciting developments for the community and for the school. At Hedskolan, we are reviewing various organizational solutions to ensure that the working environment is good and that students receive the best teaching. As a new teacher in Gällivare municipality, you will receive guidance from experienced teachers. We also have developed collegial and collective learning in the schools.
Special educators, special needs teachers, counselors and school nurses are at the school and we work together for the benefit of the students in teams. Class mentors are now present in all classes at Hedskolan and they work mainly with the social parts of the curriculum. Break hosting and break activities are some of the most important tasks of the class mentors.
Work tasks
As a leisure educator at Hedskolan, you collaborate on planning and activities with the other leisure educators at the school. At Hedskolan we have three leisure departments that work together. Your work involves planning and teaching at all three departments of the leisure home, with the main focus on the departments for Preschool Class up to and including Year 6. Some planning also occurs for the Adapted Primary School's leisure activities. You collaborate with class mentors and student assistants in the daily work at the recreation center. The work also includes interacting with other school staff based on your mission.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a present and responsive approach to students' different needs, are a clear leader and have good collaboration skills. You are independent, responsible and easy to take your own initiatives. We develop our work through pedagogical conversations and collegial learning and see it as a strength to be able to help each other to dare to be curious about new ways of working.
