Puoltikasvaara is located 5 miles north of Gällivare, beautifully situated by Lake Soutujärvi. The children in our school come from the villages of Skaulo, Puoltikasvaara and Moskojärvi. Puoltikasvaara school is a small school for pupils in grades F-6, the school works in b-form and the classes have between 6-10 pupils. The school is located in the same building as Lillsjön preschool and works closely together.
Puoltikasvaara school has been awarded for its work with equal value for all and works actively with the project "catwalk in school". The school and preschool are currently undergoing a complete renovation of all surfaces, which will be a big boost for the business.

Work tasks

As a teacher at Puoltikasvaara school, you are responsible for teaching in grades 1-6. Teaching in other grades may occur. You are part of a team and are responsible for all students' learning together with other educators in the team. You participate in the school's joint development work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed primary school teacher. It is important that you can interact with school, preschool and guardians. We are looking for you who have a present and responsive approach to students' different needs, are a clear leader and have good collaboration skills. You are independent, responsible and able to take initiative. Great importance is attached to personal suitability. Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
