Description of activities

Gällivare municipality has 11 preschools in the urban areas of Gällivare, Malmberget and Koskullskulle. We also have preschools in the villages of Dokkas, Hakkas and Puoltikasvaara.

Work tasks

We are looking for you who want to work as an hourly substitute in the preschool with children aged 1-5 years, either a few hours per week or on a longer substitution. As an hourly substitute, you will work together with regular educators to carry out educational work with the children according to the curriculum. You replace regular staff and do most of that person's tasks. You work during the day, Monday to Friday. You are offered a rewarding and meaningful job and your contribution is important to us.

Qualifications

When recruiting short-term substitutes for preschool, we primarily look at education as a preschool teacher/nursery nurse and other experience/education that the employer considers equivalent. You should have a positive outlook, initiative and of course have a genuine interest in children. You should be keen to create trusting relationships with children and parents and have good interpersonal skills. We attach great importance to personal suitability.

To work as an hourly worker with us, you need to:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Understand, speak and read Swedish
• have a valid extract from the criminal record

Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
