Business description
The position is located in the Property and Service Department within the Public Works and Technology Administration. The administration has overall responsibility for the municipality's investment projects, spatial planning, and operation of municipal facilities such as water, waste, fiber and streets. In addition, the administration is responsible for land and development activities and management of the municipality's operational properties.
The Property and Service Department is responsible for the municipality's properties, cleaning, housing adaptations, transport coordination and car pool. The department also participates in many projects in the construction of municipal premises. The municipality's property portfolio currently consists of approximately 150,000 m², mainly business premises such as schools, nursing homes, leisure facilities and industrial buildings.
Duties
As head of unit, you have overall responsibility, which means responsibility for operations, finances, staff and work environment. Your mission means that you act in accordance with decisions made, policies and guidelines, are results-oriented and have the ability to translate goals and visions into practical action. You will be part of the department's management team. Together with your colleagues and staff, you will be responsible for the continuous development of the department's activities, with a keen awareness of what the customer expects from us. As head of the cleaning unit, you will manage and organize our cleaning staff and you will have two supervisors to support you in your work.
Qualifications
You have an analytical ability and are able to work towards set goals. Experience in cleaning is an advantage. You are a leader who sees the individual and through responsiveness and clarity you lead your unit and stimulate your employees to develop. Leadership with us is based on cooperation and encouragement and thereby you create quality and commitment.
B driving license is a requirement.
Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
