Business description
The airport is currently organizationally placed within the Public Works and Technology Administration. From 2025-01-01, the airport will become a municipal company. The airport's task is to function as part of the national transport infrastructure. This task includes handling, among other things, passenger traffic, mail freight and medical transports.
Duties
As head of unit/operational manager at the airport, you are responsible for field maintenance, ramp/handling and airport rescue service. This also includes personnel and financial responsibilities. You are responsible in your area towards the Swedish Transport Agency. The service includes covering airport operations in emergency situations. You will participate in budget and cost follow-ups, draw up operating and maintenance plans and be responsible for implementation and follow-up. You are also responsible for environmental issues both in terms of the working environment within the area of responsibility and the external environment.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have managerial / managerial experience. You have relevant education and/or work experience, preferably in the field of technology or human resources. You have knowledge of working with budgets and cost follow-ups and the ability to work independently It is important that you can interact and communicate with contacts both internally and externally. The role requires you to be a leader with drive and initiative. You are expected to be able to work closely with other employees and utilize their skills. If you have experience of aviation, environmental and/or work environment issues, we see this as positive. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
As the airport is a business that is governed by laws and regulations, it is important that you have the ability to familiarize yourself with the regulations that govern the business. You will receive the training required for the position based on regulatory requirements. The airport is security classified and a civil protection site. You must therefore be prepared to undergo a security clearance and register check in accordance with the Security Protection Act. A B driving license is required for the position.
In the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
