On August 1, 2024, the Norwegian Film School, the TV School and the Game School were merged into a new artistic faculty for audiovisual subjects. The faculty takes responsibility for artistic education at the highest level within film, TV and games, with the aim of being nationally leading and internationally recognized.
The TV School offers education in creative, technical and administrative functions related to professional program production and documentary film. The programs focus on storytelling, project development and collaboration with the TV industry to ensure industry-oriented and relevant education.
The position as associate professor/university lecturer in production and project management is initially a 100% permanent position, but smaller shares of the position can be considered depending on the candidate's expertise and the department's needs.
Teaching and supervision:
Teach and supervise bachelor students in production and project management in both practical and theoretical subjects. The education emphasizes giving students training in relevant subject areas such as idea development, storytelling, production and project management, market insight and editorial and recording management - and learning to plan and manage TV and documentary projects in different genres and formats.
The teaching method at the TV School is project-oriented, and each semester contains one or more production exercises. Students on the Bachelor of Project and Production Management for Documentary and TV will work together with students from the TV School's other study programs in these exercises.
Professional development work:
Contribute to the development and renewal of the production and project management profession at the TV School in line with new production methods and changes in the TV industry.
Planning and implementation of teaching:
Responsibility for study administration tasks such as course management, exam administration, grading, evaluations and planning of teaching programs in collaboration with the parties involved (training provided)
Practical project management:
Facilitating teaching, and leading and supporting students in projects that promote independent learning in practical skills.
Interdisciplinary collaboration:
Planning and implementing interdisciplinary teaching courses and curriculum development together with colleagues and parallel lines at the TV School.
Industry collaboration:
Contribute to a continuous and close collaboration with the TV industry and other external partners to ensure mutually relevant industry insights and updating of the educational offering.
Other tasks may be added to the position as needed.

Documented practical pedagogical education and experience from teaching and supervision at university and college level, cf. Regulations to the Universities and Colleges Act. . Applicants who are unable to document pedagogical competence at the time of appointment are obliged to complete the university's course in pedagogy or equivalent within two years of appointment.
