About the position

We are looking for you with a certificate as a cleaning operator or experience from professional cleaning, and who can also work independently and are able to take on new challenges. With us, you will be part of a good and inclusive working environment.

The University of Innlandet has a vacancy for a temporary position as a cleaner at the Lillehammer campus, starting as soon as possible. In the position with us, you will work in a cleaning team that has overall responsibility for daily and periodic cleaning of the university's premises.

The construction and cleaning section has 42 employees spread across 6 different campuses. We have employees from many different countries. We use iPads with digital work plans in our daily work, and have modern and professional equipment to deliver good services to our students and staff. We perform both manual and mechanical cleaning in the University's buildings.

We have a working day with various tasks related to cleaning, and we have a working environment that is good and inclusive.

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Be part of the cleaning team that has overall responsibility for daily and periodic cleaning of the university's premises
  • Use digital cleaning plan on iPad
  • Use the FDV system in daily operational tasks
  • Participate in moving processes and other projects/tasks as needed

Other tasks can be added to the position as needed.

Qualifications

You must have:

  • have a trade certificate as a cleaning operator or experience from professional cleaning
  • be able to speak, write and understand the Norwegian language
  • have good knowledge of the use of ICT tools such as iPad in the work

It is desirable with:

  • experience with or knowledge of NS INSTA 800
  • knowledge and preferably experience with FDV system
  • driving license class B

Personal qualities:

  • Ability to work independently and be service-minded
  • Like to cooperate with others
  • Be willing to learn and positive to new challenges
  • Have an interest in the cleaning profession

The assessment of which candidate is best qualified will be a comprehensive assessment of education, experience and personal suitability, in addition to motivation and other qualification requirements as formulated in the ad text.

The position and associated tasks must be carried out in accordance with applicable laws and regulations for government employees, including the Act on Control of Exports of Strategic Goods, Services and Technology, etc. Candidates who, after assessment of the application and attachments, conflict with the criteria in the latter act, will not be able to take up the position at the University of Inland Norway. Necessary approvals must be maintained throughout the employment relationship."
