The University of Inland Norway is looking for a strategic and committed head of department for the Department of Forest and Rangeland Sciences at Evenstad - a unique knowledge environment in the middle of Norway's most beautiful wilderness. As Head of Department, you will be responsible for developing and leading a dynamic department with great academic breadth, high research activity and an international working environment. You will be a key member of the faculty's management team, where you will be able to influence strategic decisions and contribute to the University of Innlandet's further development as the country's youngest university.
The Department of Forestry and Rangeland Sciences has an assistant head of department in addition to the head of department. This collaboration is characterized by good dialogue, common understanding of goals and a practical distribution of tasks that help to strengthen both the study environment and academic quality at the department. The head of department has overall responsibility for the department's strategy, finances and academic priorities.
We are looking for a head who can further develop the department's strong position, strengthen collaboration with business and administration, and ensure that our students and employees have the best conditions for success.
