About the position
At our campus at Evenstad, we have a vacancy for an Operations Operator, starting May 1, 2025.
Responsibilities and duties
- Responsible for ensuring that the daily operational tasks at the campuses are carried out. The operations operator collaborates with the operations manager on the performance of daily operational tasks.
- Follow up reported operational tasks/deviations at the place of study and help to establish and implement routines to prevent deviations.
- This also includes the use and updating of the University's FDV system.
- Maintain the operations service's activities at the faculties at the place of study. A plan must be drawn up for the tasks that the operations operator performs for the faculties beyond the ordinary operational tasks. Maintain daily contact with the landlord's operations manager and personnel at the campus, and participate in the implementation of maintenance projects at the campus.
- Responsible for supervision/security of the buildings, fixtures and equipment at the campus. This also includes access to the buildings in the access control and alarm systems, as well as planning and controlling opening and closing on campus.
- Map and report the need for building measures, replacement of fixtures and equipment to the operations manager, including obtaining input from the faculty. The work is coordinated with the cleaning coordinator/manager.
- Assist the operations manager and the faculties in preparing a basis for decision-making in the event of changes in their activities that involve building changes.
- Lead relocation processes at the campus, including coordinating with the faculty, the IT department, the safety service and other units in the property department.
- Assist in community safety and emergency preparedness work at the campus, including participating in crisis management related to the campus.
- Have specialist tasks that are carried out for several/all campuses within their own subject area or in other subject areas within the real estate department. This also includes participating in construction projects at other campuses.
- Responsible for updating system documentation and routines to meet internal control requirements within the operations department's areas of responsibility at the campus.
- Participate in various projects and other tasks as needed.
- Responsible for the daily operation of Hybelhus.
Other tasks may be added to the position as needed.
Qualifications
You must have:
- Trade certificate in a craft/construction trade or construction management
- Relevant practice in the subject area(s) can compensate for a trade certificate
- Use of FDV system
- It is desirable with a background or good knowledge of building operations
- Good organizational and business understanding
- Verbal and written presentation skills in Norwegian.
- Good knowledge of English is an advantage
- Good knowledge and active use of ICT tools
- Driver's license in class B96/BE (must have on appointment or shortly after appointment)

Necessary approvals must be maintained throughout the employment relationship.
