About the position

The Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences has a vacant 50% permanent position as practice coordinator at the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences from 01.01.2025. The position belongs to the administration with office location in Lillehammer.

As practice coordinator, you have an administrative and coordinating responsibility for practice within social science education at the faculty. In this role, you will contribute to the development of good and relevant internships, and various collaboration opportunities with the practice field. You work closely with the students, academic staff at the faculty and the practice sites. At our social science programs, we have about 500-600 students annually who are going into practice for shorter and longer periods.

Responsibilities and duties

  • Recruitment and quality assurance of good and relevant internships in collaboration with the academic community
  • Assignment of students to internship sites
  • Contribute to coordination and cooperation between the university college and the internship field
  • Inform and guide students about the conduct of internships
  • Case management concerning students and internships, including e.g.. accommodation, complaints and travel grants
  • Updating data in various systems
  • Making agreements with internship sites about internships
  • Administering documentation of evaluation and assessment of students in internships
  • Collaborating with the academic community on developments in the internship field

Other tasks may be added to the position as needed.

Qualifications

You must have:

  • relevant university/university college education at bachelor's level, preferably in social care, social work or child welfare. Particularly relevant experience can compensate for parts of the education requirement.
  • good written and oral presentation skills in Norwegian and English.
  • experience from the field of practice for social workers, social workers or child welfare educators

It is desirable to have:

  • knowledge of the university and university college sector
  • knowledge of relevant study programs
  • good digital skills and experience with various digital systems, preferably archive and study administration systems (such as. P360, joint administrative system - FS, the students' learning platform Canvas, the exam system Inspera)
  • experience from case management in the public sector
  • ability to work systematically and to document work

  • high work capacity
  • have the desire and ability to contribute actively and positively to the work environment

The assessment of which candidate is best qualified will be a comprehensive assessment of education, experience and personal suitability, in addition to motivation and other qualification requirements as formulated in the ad text.

The position and associated tasks must be carried out in accordance with applicable laws and regulations for government employees, including the Act on Control of Exports of Strategic Goods, Services and Technology, etc. Candidates who, after assessment of the application and attachments, conflict with the criteria in the latter act, will not be able to take up the position at Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences. Necessary approvals must be maintained throughout the employment relationship."
