Inland University of Applied Sciences - Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences (HHS) is the largest faculty at the University of Inland Norway, and has a total of approximately 7,300 students and 300 employees. Department of Economics has a vacant permanent 100% position as professor / associate professor in business administration.
The department currently has approx. 75 employees and is active at the campuses Rena and Lillehammer, as well as in Kongsvinger. As an employee, you will work across the faculty's campuses, departments and our newly established Center for Digitalization and Sustainability (CREDS). The department has strong roots in traditional economics subjects such as accounting, auditing, business administration and finance. Today, we have a dynamic, committed and development-oriented environment, have developed several master's programs in recent years, and are increasingly international. Among other things, we have ambitions for further growth in research production and want to further strengthen the research culture at the department. The department encourages promotion and facilitates, as far as practically possible, for UFF employees who wish to work on their own qualification paths.
The position brings you into an academic environment that is good at teaching and educational development. We are looking for candidates who are actively present at the place of study and who share our commitment to teaching, while at the same time having ambitions to contribute to research and development work at the department.

Documented practical pedagogical education and experience from teaching and supervision at university and university college level, cf. Regulations to the Universities and University Colleges Act. Applicants who are unable to document pedagogical competence at the time of appointment are obliged to complete the university's course in higher education pedagogy or equivalent within two years of appointment.

In its assessment, the department will emphasize personal suitability, research and teaching experience, as well as the teaching needs we need to cover. We will primarily emphasize the quality of academic work rather than quantity, and recent publications may be given greater weight. When assessing qualifications, career stage will be taken into account.
The assessment of which candidate is best qualified will be based on an overall assessment of education, experience and personal suitability and other qualification requirements as formulated in the advertisement, in addition to motivation for the position.
The position and associated tasks must be carried out in accordance with applicable laws and regulations for government employees, including the Act on Control of Exports of Strategic Goods, Services and Technology, etc. Candidates who, after assessment of the application and attachments, conflict with the criteria in the latter act, will not be able to take up the position at the University of Inland Norway.
