Borger AS is a residential facility for people with mental illness and/or substance abuse problems. We currently have 400 employees and 85 residents living in 6 different homes. Borger AS wants to provide an offer that meets the need for security, predictability, change and development for our residents. Our focus on community, connection and belonging is reflected in how we work with practical challenges at Borger. We believe that skills can be developed through security and a sense of mastery where goals are set and worked towards together.

We are now looking for skilled and committed environmental therapists and environmental workers for the summer of 2025. We can offer summer shifts of between 50-100% in long shift shifts, night shifts or 3/7/4/7 Member shifts in weeks 25 to 33. The shifts offer intensive work periods, with long periods off.

Our homes are located at Østre Toten, Vestre Toten, Ringerike, Røyse, Ørje and Hof in Holmestrand. It will be possible to work at one or more homes.

The homes in Borger consist of a unit manager, subject manager, day nurse and three interdisciplinary teams consisting of nurses, social workers, social workers, child welfare educators and other health and social work educations. In addition, each home has a cook and a supervising psychiatrist.

Work tasks

  • Environmental work and practical assistance
  • Environmental therapeutic work through activities with residents
  • Close cooperation in interdisciplinary teams
  • Support conversations, guidance and follow-up of residents
  • Provide care and nursing
  • Documentation and reporting of the environmental therapeutic work
  • Contribute to ensuring that Borger meets the requirements set in the applicable agreements with Borger's clients

Qualifications and characteristics

  • If you have a 3-year health/social college education, this is an advantage, but not a requirement. If you are in education, this is also relevant
  • For environmental workers; No formal educational requirements beyond primary school, but experience from the user group is desirable
  • You must be accommodating and have the ability to create trust and good relationships
  • You must have good collaboration and communication skills
  • You are self-driven and solution-oriented
  • You must be confident and able to handle challenging behavior
  • You must be responsible and helpful
  • Personal suitability is emphasized
  • Driver's license class B
  • Available to work in fixed shifts from week 25 to 33. There will also be a great opportunity to work outside these weeks
