Description of the workplace:

Gjøvik municipality currently operates five doctor's offices; Sørbyen medical group with 5 doctor's homes, Biri medical center with 3 doctor's homes, Snertingdal health center with 1.5 doctor's homes, Gjøvik medical center with 7 doctor's homes, and Gjøvik municipal medical group with 4 doctor's homes.

The doctor's office business area is under development, and since it was established in 2020 has been expanded in line with the increase in the number of doctor's homes. We are constantly working on quality development of our services, to ensure the best possible treatment for our patients.

We are looking for committed and flexible health secretaries in vacation and on-call substitution for several municipal doctor's offices.

The position fraction and work location will vary based on the needs of the individual doctor's office.

Starting date by agreement

Tasks:

As a health secretary, you will have a varied working day with many different tasks:

  • Dispatch work with patient reception at the counter and on the phone for appointment bookings, prescription renewals and other inquiries.
  • Digital communication with our patients via helsenorge.
  • Sampling, laboratory and shift work, and other tasks that naturally fall to the role of health secretary.
Qualifications:
  • We are looking for an authorized health secretary. Others with relevant education are welcome to apply.
  • Experience from working at a doctor's office will be a great advantage.
  • Good computer skills; we use CGM journal system, and knowledge of this is an advantage.
  • Very good Norwegian skills; both oral and written, as this is of great importance for all communication throughout the working day.

  • Collaborate well in teams, and have a high capacity for flexibility in an environment that can be very hectic at times.
  • Have a good ability to work independently and systematically, with a focus on accuracy and quality assurance.

Personal suitability and references are emphasized to a great extent.

Requirement for an approved police certificate.
