Are you a 2nd or 3rd year nursing student, medical student, health professional or newly qualified nurse looking for an exciting summer job in the summer of 2025?
Newly qualified nurses will be offered long-term training with regular internships and training shifts from January to get to know the department before the summer. There are also opportunities for permanent employment after the vacation substitution. This involves shifts with work every 3rd weekend and a 3-shift rotation.
The orthopedic ward is a large department with good patient flow and high activity throughout the year. The ward has 29 beds, divided into the disciplines of orthopedics, ear-nose-throat and eye. Patients can have complex problems and often require an interdisciplinary approach, and we work closely with other professional groups and departments at the hospital. This provides the basis for varied work tasks and the opportunity to gain broad experience.
For the summer, we need holiday temps in weeks 26-33. The holiday temps work 2-part or 3-part shifts with every other weekend in a rotation of approximately 80-100%. It is expected that the holiday temps can work a minimum of 5 weeks. Those who can work 5 weeks or more will be prioritized.
All holiday temps will receive good training. There will be general training days before the start of the shift, in weeks 24-25. Applicants who can attend training during these weeks will be prioritized.
Please state in your application what period of time you can work and when you can come to training.
Current candidates will be offered vacation work on an ongoing basis.
