Akuttmottaket Elverum is in need of summer temps so that our loyal employees can take a vacation.
Our department receives patients for both inpatient and outpatient visits. In 2024, we ensured that almost 10,000 patients (both young and old) were cared for and examined before admission. Approximately 3,000 patients were allowed to go home after a short visit with us.

The emergency department is never closed, which is why our employees work in three shifts. During the summer period, there is a need for temporary staff who can work both day, evening and night. What skills you have will determine when you can work. Most employees in the department work every 3rd weekend.

We mainly want colleagues with authorization as a nurse. 2nd year nursing students, medical students or other healthcare professionals can be considered based on competence.

For us, it is beneficial if we can facilitate training before the main holidays begin, but this is not a requirement. The training period is agreed individually with each individual. You should be able to work at least 4 consecutive weeks this summer. Specify in your application what period you are able to work and how much you envisage working. We need people in positions ranging from 50 to 100%.

Tasks

For nurses:

• Triage, observation and treatment of patients arriving at the hospital for inpatient or outpatient treatment in the emergency department.
• Participate in team reception.
• Performing nursing procedures

Assistants/students:

• Assist nurse in triaging and receiving patients.
• Co-responsible for follow-up and observation of patients while they are in the emergency department.
• Tasks are adapted to the individual's qualifications.

For everyone:

• Documentation in Electronic Patient Record (DIPS and Metavision)
• Other incidental work in the department

Qualifications

• Nurse
• Nurse student completed 2. year
  
• Medical student with experience from hospital / care and observation of patients
• Other health personnel / students with emergency medical experience
• Desirable with emergency medical experience and / or emergency care / prehospital services.
• Must be fluent in written and spoken Norwegian
• Desirable with knowledge of EHR, such as Dips and MetaVision. Training will be provided
