The Department of Orthopaedics Kongsvinger is an integrated arm of the orthopaedic clinic Ahus with treatment responsibility for patients living in the Glomdal municipalities and Øvre Romerike.

Our ward operates 20 beds on the sixth floor of the hospital and treats patients with various types of fractures, minor head injuries and patients who need hip, knee and shoulder prostheses. The section has close interdisciplinary collaboration with other professional groups, and has its own outpatient clinic for those who need a new hip or knee prosthesis.

We in the orthopaedic ward area are a good team, with a focus on a good learning environment, good patient care and a lot of humor. We are a department in constant development and the working day is exciting - with interesting tasks and constantly new things to learn.

The position involves a three-part shift with weekend work every other weekend. It will be possible to gain experience as an hourly paid extra shift both before and after the summer vacation period.

Duties

• Perform pre and post operative nursing
• Perform patient care according to current procedures
• Maintain patient safety
• Administrative tasks, creation of treatment plans, planning the patient's discharge, interaction with municipalities, ICT management
• Electronic patient record / curve (DIPS arena and Metavision)

Qualifications

We need you who:

• Have valid Norwegian authorization as a nurse
• Have valid Norwegian authorization as a health care worker
• Have started nursing education 1., 2. and 3 years. student.
  
• Have good written and oral language skills in Norwegian or other Scandinavian language
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to prioritize work in a busy workday

In addition, we believe it is an advantage if you:

• Have experience with orthopedics
• Knowledge of Dips arena and Metavision
