If you are looking for an exciting holiday job as a nurse in the summer of 2025, the emergency department at Ahus Kongsvinger may be the right place!

We are primarily looking for nurses, but nursing students, medical students and paramedics with relevant nursing experience can also apply. Training adapted to the tasks will be provided.

The emergency department receives all types of patients, surgical outpatient clinic 24/7, patients for possible emergency admission to the house's surgical, maternity, orthopedic, and internal medicine wards and intensive care unit.

The emergency department Ahus Kongsvinger has team reception for seriously ill patients, and is part of the trauma system in the South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority. The emergency department also receives and stabilizes acutely ill children, before forwarding Ahus Nordbyhagen or Oslo University Hospital.

Tasks

• Vacation temps with us must master basic care and care of patients.
• Connect patients and monitor the patient's vital parameters in collaboration with the nurse
• Take ECG, take and analyze urine samples and place peripheral venous cannula.
• Analyze blood gas, deliver blood samples and other samples to the laboratory.
• Assist with assistance in casting and suturing.
• Collaborate interdisciplinary by oral and written communication/documentation.

Qualifications

• We are primarily looking for nurses.
• Students with a minimum of 2 years of nursing school or a minimum of 3 years of medical school, who can show relevant clinical practice, can also apply
• Ambulance professionals can also apply
  

Personal qualities

• It is important that the holiday temps in the Emergency Department have the ability to acquire practical skills quickly.
• The ability to prioritize and understand the importance of collaborating with others.
• Be careful with oral and written reporting and be clear about their own area of expertise/responsibility.
• It is important that the holiday temp is loyal to local guidelines, procedures and regulations.
• The applicant must be fluent in written and spoken Norwegian.
