The intensive care unit in Elverum is a general intensive care unit with a total of 19 beds; 9 of which are intensive care / monitoring places, the rest primarily postoperative beds. We mainly monitor and treat patients from the medical, orthopedic, gynecological, ENT, eye and pediatric departments.
The majority of intensive care patients are medical patients.

Work tasks

We are looking for an active and solution-oriented vacation substitute who is motivated to perform delegated support tasks for intensive care nurses during the summer vacation in the period 16.06 - 17.08.25. Minimum work contract for 6 of the weeks, with work every 2nd or 3rd weekend.

• Assist in care/mobilization/nutrition situations/accompany patients to various examinations
• On-call duty and relief for patients who need extra follow-up
• Cleaning and preparation of patient rooms and equipment
• Assist in answering bells/phones/facilitate relatives
• Keep order in rinse rooms, kitchen and generally in the department
• Replenish equipment/consumables
• Pick up/deliver services to the house
• Work closely in collaboration with the nurse in charge

Qualifications

• Student nurse, health professional or other relevant health professional background
• Applicants must have good communication and collaboration skills
• Applicants must be fluent in Norwegian both orally and in writing

Personal qualities

• Personal qualities, suitability and good mood are emphasized.
• You must both enjoy and tolerate hectic periods - which are a natural part of an emergency department.
• You must be structured, tidy and hardworking.
• Take responsibility for common tasks in the department.
• Ask for advice and support when needed.
