Brief about the position
Os municipality is looking for summer temps in the health and care business,
with work in shifts (day, evening and night) every third and second weekend.

About the business
The health and care service in Os municipality is divided into five departments. Verjåtunet nursing home, the Home Service, the Service for the Disabled, Night/Kitchen and Health Services. The departments have their own department managers and a joint business manager. In addition, the health and care service has its own occupational therapy service.

Verjåtunet nursing home;
Offers to those who need long-term stay - those who need permanent full-time care.
Short-term and respite care for those who need full-time care and training/rehabilitation for a shorter period.
Care, nursing, care and activities for our residents

The service for the disabled;
Relief services for children with physical and mental disabilities.
In the relief, the focus is on activity adapted to the individual, mastery and good experiences.
We provide services to adults with disabilities who need assistance with daily living tasks.

Homecare service;
Advice and guidance in connection with illness and prevention of illness.
Education and training/maintenance of skills to enable the user to take care of their own needs.
Help and facilitation to take care of personal hygiene and nutrition.
Assistance with the necessary administration of medication.

Night/kitchen:
The night shift service in health and care currently consists of 16 permanent employees with different job sizes, ages and education. The municipality places great emphasis on professional coverage of night shifts and all permanent employees have or are in the process of obtaining health education. The night watchman service is a group that serves all the other health and care services. The night watchmen work in the Service for the Disabled, at the nursing home and in the home care service.

The kitchen is often described as the heart of every home. This is no exception in Os municipality. The kitchen is responsible for running the canteens at both the nursing home and the municipal building. Fresh cold cuts, bread, crispbread and various salads are available every day. If you're missing something, just knock on the door and ask, and the staff will usually have what you need. The kitchen's main role is to prepare dinner for everyone in the nursing home, as well as anyone who needs home delivery of food in the municipality. An average of 30 nutritious dinners are prepared every day and delivered by car to many homes in the municipality.

  • Driver's license class B
  • Satisfactory police certificate must be presented
  • Valid passport or Norwegian ID card
  • General declaration for tuberculosis control

The summer holiday period 2025 is from week 26 up to and including week 33.
