The emergency department at Lillehammer is an active and exciting workplace, with highly competent nurses and doctors who together create a uniquely good working environment. For the summer of 2024, you have the opportunity to substitute for our nurses if you are either a nurse or a 4th year medical student. The work will consist of nursing and assistant tasks. For summer 2025 we are looking for:
Nurses with Norwegian authorizationMedical students finished with 4. year for selected nurse/assistant tasks The work involves three-part shifts and weekend work every other or at least every 3rd weekend
We want applicants who can work all or large parts of the period from mid-June to mid-August.
The emergency department has an average of 37 emergency admissions per day, within internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics and neurology.
We are an emergency department with approx. 200 trauma admissions a year.
There is an observation post with 4 beds attached to the emergency department.

Tasks
- Nursing care for critically ill and unstable patients in medicine, surgery, pediatrics and neurology.
- Participate in teamwork in acute conditions
- Document in Dips Arena and metavision
- Treatment and follow-up of patients in the obs beds
- Assist in keeping the department clean and tidy as well as other incidental work
- Tasks are adapted to the individual's qualifications
Qualifications
- Nurse with Norwegian authorization.
- Experience from the specialist health service is an advantage
- Medical students finished with 4. year
- Medical students with clinical experience from the specialist health service
- Must be fluent in written and spoken Norwegian
