Do you want to work with us this summer? We want someone who thinks that oncology is an exciting field. As a summer trainee, you will have the opportunity to work in a committed and interdisciplinary environment with comprehensive follow-up of patients.
The oncology department is organized as an independent section under the department of internal medicine.Our main task is outpatient treatment of a wide range of diseases within oncology. The nursing tasks are mainly to administer chemotherapy and other cancer drugs, as well as give various medical infusions. We treat almost all tumor groups in adults, and we provide treatment to patients in curative and palliative phases. We collaborate closely with the palliative care team and with the municipal health service on our patients.
Working hours are 08.00-15.30 and the current period is week 25 - week 33.

Tasks
What does a working day look like?
- Administration of cytostatics and other drug infusions.
- Direct patient/relative contact in close cooperation with the doctor and secretary.
- Coordination of the patient's course of treatment.
- Collaboration with relatives and interaction with the municipal health service and other partners.
- Documentation.
Qualifications
To thrive with the work tasks with us, we are looking for you who have the following qualifications:
- Norwegian authorization as a nurse.
- Relevant experience is desirable, but not a requirement.
- Further education in oncology is desirable, but not a requirement.
- The applicant must be fluent in written and spoken Norwegian.
- Concerned with patient safety and quality assurance.
