The Orthopaedic Clinic at Akershus University Hospital is located at Nordbyhagen in Lørenskog, Ski, Gardermoen and Kongsvinger. The clinic is one of the country's largest in orthopedic emergency care and performs a large number of planned operations in all disciplines. The Kongsvinger Orthopaedic Department is an integrated arm of the Ahus Orthopaedic Clinic with treatment responsibility for patients living in the Glåmdal municipalities and Øvre Romerike.

At our outpatient clinic, we have both surgical and orthopedic consultations, wound treatment and procedures. The nurses have an assisting function to the doctor and rotate tasks so that the days are educational, varied and exciting. The orthopaedic and surgical outpatient clinic is also responsible for the emergency outpatient clinic for orthopaedic patients located in the emergency department during mid-shifts on weekdays.

Tasks

• Assist doctors with various examinations in wound care, orthopaedics and surgery
• Patient care in the form of wound care, stitch removal and plaster removal.
• Patient information before and after examination.
• Ensure good flow and logistics in the outpatient clinic

Qualifications

We need someone who:

• Has valid Norwegian authorization as a nurse or is a nursing student
• Has very good written and oral language skills in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language.
• Have good communication and collaboration skills
• Have the ability to prioritize work tasks in a busy workday
• Experience with Dips Arena is an advantage

In addition, we believe it is an advantage if you:

• Have experience or additional education in wound care, orthopedics and/or surgery
• Have experience from the specialist health service
