About the position

The following position is available at the Norwegian Correctional Service Innlandet, Department of Community Electronic Control:
Sommervicar in 100% position as first consultant in rotation, 4 positions.
The place of work is Hamar.
The positions involve a high degree of travel by car, often over long distances. The summer holiday period is in the weeks 26 - 33

First Consultant EK is responsible for both administrative and practical implementation of unconditional sentences upon application from convicted persons in the target group for electronic monitoring, as well as follow-up of sentence enforcement in institutions § 12.
It involves responsibility for case management both in the preparatory phase and during the execution of the sentence, interviews and control of convicted persons, installation of technical equipment, safeguarding the purpose of punishment through security and equal treatment for convicted persons, employees and society.

First counselor EK must have the ability to set boundaries, resolve conflicts and be an interlocutor, role model and guide for the convicted persons.


Tasks

  • Assess whether the convicted person is suitable for imprisonment with electronic monitoring
  • , administer and control the execution of the sentence
  • facilitate and follow up professional content
  • conduct planned change work in collaboration with the support system
  • check that the conditions of the sentence are complied with
  • if necessary, one must also expect to take part in other types of execution of sentence in the probation service
  • follow-up of execution of sentence in an institution pursuant to Strfgfl. § 12, both preparatory case processing and implementation of the case

    The positions are part of the EK team in the Prison and Probation Service Innlandet and are based at the head office of the Department of Society in Hamar.

    Those who are hired must expect changes in work and responsibilities.


Education and experience

You must have

  • General educational qualifications
  • Start or pass a relevant college education at bachelor's level (social science) or pass a prison officer education from the Norwegian Correctional Service's college and education center KRUS.
  • good oral and written presentation skills
  • have technical insight and skills
  • good knowledge and experience in the use of ICT systems and tools
  • Personal qualities in line with the agency's values
  • driving license class B
