About the unit

The position is organized under the Department of Transport, Road Section, Unit for Digitization and Road Data. The Road Section is responsible for tasks related to the operation and development of the county road network in Innlandet County. The section has offices in Hamar, Lillehammer, Gjøvik, Otta, Fagernes, Tynset and Kongsvinger.

The road data section contributes to updating and maintaining road data related to the county road network in Inland County. This is done via the databases NVDB (National Road Database) and FKB (Common Map Database).

  • hourly salary 100% commitment in the period 10.06.2025-01.08.2025 (with the possibility of extension 1-2 weeks)

  • Salary depends on total previous work experience, and is paid according to position code 6572 - Assistant
  • It is possible to take vacation in week 27

Work assignments

Are you a student and want a summer job in a county that daily solves important social tasks?

Inland County Council offers summer jobs before improving the data basis in NVDB (National Road Database) for culverts on the county road network.

The work will consist of registering culverts with their own geometry from inlet to outlet (line geometry) as well as registering required properties in accordance with the Data Catalog. The work is carried out along county roads in Inland Norway. Surveying and registration is done using handheld GNSS equipment. There may be some days of registration work from the office. The work may involve some travel.

Necessary courses and training will be provided before the start of the work.

Qualification requirements

  • Driver's license class B
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Good Norwegian language skills

Desired qualifications

  • We primarily want candidates who are undergoing/have completed higher education. It is an advantage with expertise in geomatics, geography, geodata, construction or similar
  • relevant experience is desirable
  • personal qualities are considered
  • flexibility with regard to geographical location can be prioritized
