Gyn Føde ward at Elverum is a combined ward with 4 delivery rooms, 17 maternity beds and 3 gynecological beds. In addition, we have outpatient clinics in Hamar and Elverum. This provides a unique opportunity to work with women's health from a holistic perspective. We have around 850 births a year. In our department, midwives, pediatric nurses and nurses work in interdisciplinary collaboration with doctors and office staff to provide good care and nursing to our patient groups. We have a working environment characterized by good humor, unity and a desire to deliver good quality and service to our patients.

The summer holidays are a high activity period for us, and we are looking for good holiday temps. We are looking for officially approved midwives, officially approved nurses, officially approved pediatric nurses and nursing students / assistants for the summer period, in the period week 26-33.

Vacation temps will be given tasks and training in the department based on their basic competence.

For nurses, pediatric nurses and assistants, we want you to be able to work a minimum of 5 of the weeks in the summer holiday period. We want joint training of you on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday week 25, so it is important that you are available for this. We would like you to be able to work every other weekend this summer.

For midwives, we can arrange other individual appointments based on what may suit you, get in touch for a chat.

The position size is basically about 100%, but this can be agreed individually.

Work tasks

The midwife performs independent midwifery tasks related to the labor and delivery department. Knowledge of Partus and STAN is desirable.

Nurses perform independent nursing tasks in the gynecology and maternity wards, and assist the midwife when needed.

Pediatric nurses perform independent nursing tasks in labor and delivery, maternity and gynecology, and assist the midwife when needed. Knowledge of Partus is desirable.

Assistants will assist with incidental work, replenishment of equipment, assist in patient care and assist as needed. There is a separate work list prepared for assistants during the summer with us.
