We are now looking for summer temps for Lillehammer Intermunicipal Emergency Department. We cover a large geographical area consisting of 7 municipalities with approx. 68,000 inhabitants and many visiting tourists throughout the year. We offer the population immediate help through the emergency call center (116 117) and staffed out-of-hours services. We offer a solid and safe professional environment where you get to work in a team with doctors on duty and experienced colleagues. The work tasks at the out-of-hours service include urgent assessment of patients, staffing the out-of-hours center, laboratory work, observation and treatment of patients, caring for relatives and staffing the out-of-hours car.

Special skills and experience are required to staff the out-of-hours center and the out-of-hours car. Necessary training will be given to relevant candidates.

When you work at the out-of-hours service, you will have an active and sometimes hectic working day where no two shifts are the same. We focus on high professional quality and all new employees receive good and personalized training. Vacation will mainly take place between June 23 and August 17. We are looking for summer temps for positions of 100% and who can work every other weekend. We ask you to state which weeks and how much you are able to work during this period. Describe when you have the opportunity to start training.

When offering a position, there is a requirement for an approved police certificate, cf. the Health and Care Services Act § 5-4.

Working tasks

  • Emergency assessment and prioritization of patients.
  • Treatment and observation of acutely ill and injured patients, and care of relatives.
  • Blood sampling, simple analyses and other relevant patient examinations.
  • Contribute to good cooperation with AMK, emergency services, ambulance service, police and other relevant partners.
  • Operate emergency services vehicles after special training.

Qualifications

  • Nurse, ambulance worker or paramedic with Norwegian authorization.
  • Nurse, paramedic and medical students are encouraged to apply
  • Clinical experience is desirable and will be emphasized.
  • Experience from out-of-hours services, ambulance service, emergency department or other relevant emergency medical work is desirable.
  • Good Norwegian language skills, written and oral.
  • Mastery of spoken English.
  • Experience in the use of common ICT tools.
