About the role
As a machinist, you play a key role in our business, which focuses on manufacturing and delivering welded and machined parts, as well as building and repairing machine parts for industry. In this broad and varied role, you will have the opportunity to be involved in the entire process - from inquiry to finished product.
Your main duties will include:
- Estimating and quoting: Calculating costs, taking quotes from suppliers and sending quotes to customers.
- Order management: Receiving, preparing and planning orders for production.
- Production and dialog: Working closely with production staff to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Customer and supplier contacts: Building and maintaining relationships with customers and suppliers, and participating in sales efforts.
- Development and improvement: Identify and implement improvements to develop and streamline our unit.
With us, you'll work on a range of technical and administrative tasks that require a holistic approach, accuracy and problem-solving skills. You will be an important part of a team that constantly strives to deliver quality and innovation to our customers.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who has experience in costing, quoting and preparation in the engineering or industrial sector and who enjoys working in a dynamic environment. You have a genuine interest in technology and are comfortable using computers as a natural tool. Perhaps you have a background in production and are ready to take the next step in your career, or you have already worked in a similar role and want to continue to develop.
To be successful in this role, you should have experience with Excel and reading drawings, and you should have worked with CAD programs such as Autocad, Inventor or Navis. Experience of CAD/CAM and creating cutting files in DXF is particularly advantageous. You are a self-starter and creative problem solver who takes initiative and likes to work independently, but also enjoys working in a team.
You have good experience of customer contacts and have communication skills that enable you to express yourself fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing. With a strong drive, accuracy and a structured approach, you take on your tasks with commitment. Driving license B is a requirement.
We attach great importance to your personality and are looking for a person with the ability to create long-term relationships, both with customers and colleagues. Your willingness to find effective solutions and your commitment to developing working methods and processes make you a natural part of our team.
What do we offer you?
With us, you will be part of a committed and future-driven team in Sandviken, where we are currently about 45 employees, four of whom work with preparation and planning. We work in a stimulating environment with an open and transparent atmosphere, where freedom with responsibility is a matter of course. You will have the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally by combining a challenging job with a balance that works for your private life.
Our work is characterized by strong commitment, a shared pursuit of sustainable solutions for industry and society, and a conviction that we succeed best together with our customers, partners and colleagues. We believe in the power of diversity, equality and inclusion, and we see differences as a strength. Here, we work together to create a workplace where everyone feels welcome and valued. As part of our team, you will have a role that is both varied and challenging, with a lot of freedom to independently drive your work within the powers that come with your position. We offer market-based salaries and very good opportunities for skills development, both through training and by taking on exciting and developing assignments.
