At the culture and leisure department in Jokkmokk, we are a small, committed team that works together to create a rich and accessible cultural and leisure life for everyone. The department consists of a culture secretary, a leisure consultant, a youth consultant and an administrator who, together with the Culture School's teachers and our two libraries, drive the activities forward. Collaboration is a central part of our work. We work closely with the School of Culture's dedicated teachers, the municipality's schools and preschools, local cultural creators, organizers and active associations. In addition, our work is closely linked to civil society, which plays a crucial role in creating a vibrant and inclusive cultural life. Do you want to help strengthen the role of culture for children and young people in Jokkmokk? We are looking for a committed and preferably pedagogically experienced coordinator for Kulturskolan, Skapande Skola and culture for children and young people. We hope that you want to help develop the activities and ensure children's right to culture in line with the Convention on the Rights of the Child. The position involves a key role in planning, coordinating and developing an inspiring cultural offering for children and young people in Jokkmokk municipality. The work is done in close dialog with children and young people, the Culture School's teachers and the schools' cultural representatives. WORK TASKS As a cultural coordinator, you work to plan, implement and develop the municipality's cultural activities for children and young people. You plan and implement cultural experiences for children and young people in preschool, primary and secondary school and arrange public programs and holiday activities. As a coordinator, you will be responsible for: - Planning and organizing the cultural offer - Coordinating the schools' requests and planning of their cultural programs and the activities of the School of Culture. This means creating a broad and inclusive cultural offer, leading meetings, following up projects and ensuring that everything goes according to plan. - Project applications and follow-up. Together with the Head of Culture and Leisure, you will apply for and account for funds to enable cultural projects and ensure that all efforts are reported correctly. - Attending events and performances. Your presence at cultural events is essential. You welcome children and teachers, evaluate experiences and create reports that help to improve future initiatives. - Plan the activities of the School of Culture. Working closely with teachers, you will plan the School of Culture's semesters, its open activities and outreach work, ensuring that activities are accessible and engaging for all. - You play a central role in the department's work towards common goals. You will be a key point of contact between the School's teachers and the Head of Culture and Leisure. You will also collaborate with the Library Coordinator in the department's working group, which works to ensure that the entire department achieves the goals of the Culture and Leisure Board and participates in Regional Forums. QUALIFICATIONS We expect you to have: - A university, college or vocational training degree in cultural studies, children's culture, cultural administration or equivalent, or other experience that we consider equivalent. - Experience in running and coordinating projects - Good ability to communicate, anchor and market, both orally and in writing. - Familiarity with using IT as a tool in your everyday work. Experience of working in a politically governed organization and knowledge of finance, budget and contracts would be an advantage.
