We are now looking for a fisheries coordinator with a background in natural sciences for Jokkmokk municipality. As a fish coordinator, you have an important role in running projects and developing the state of knowledge regarding fish ecology and the state of existing fish populations that are used by the public in Jokkmokk municipality. WORK TASKS A large part of your work will consist of practical work during the bare ground season, some outdoor work may also take place in winter. During the winter months, the work largely consists of compiling the results of measures and investigations carried out. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who have: - academic education in natural sciences or education/work experience deemed equivalent. - experience of working with biological monitoring such as electrofishing, fish migration control, fish tagging and e-DNA sampling - good sea experience with a boat. - some knowledge of the Environmental Code and in particular the legislation on water activities, as well as knowledge of the regulatory framework for the management of fish resources. - good written and oral communication skills in Swedish and English. - driving license qualification of at least B You are used to working independently, and have experience in compiling results and writing reports.
