As our current school nurse has chosen to try her wings in other areas, we are now looking for a new school nurse. Your responsibilities will include the schools Västra, Vuollerim and the upper secondary school. The Children and Education Department is responsible for preschool, after-school care, primary school and adapted primary school grades F-9. In total, we are 120 people working to provide good activities for our children and students today and prepare them for the future. As a staff member in our department, together with us you create the conditions for children and students to want to learn and have the opportunity to succeed. Within the Children and Education Department, development work is underway to achieve increased goal attainment, form a sustainable organization with a good working environment that can meet the challenges facing preschool and school. WORK TASKS The position of school nurse involves many and varied contacts with students, staff and guardians. As a school nurse with us, you participate in the work of student health together with the principal and other professionals in the student health team such as school counselor, school psychologist, special education teacher and special education teacher. Together, we work to design an environment that best promotes students' mental, physical and social development, learning and health. The work of a school nurse also involves working promotion and prevention together with the other members of the school team. In your role as a school nurse, you implement the student health medical effort in accordance with laws, regulations and governing documents, which include health talks, reception work, health examinations, documentation and administration. You are also expected to participate actively in the value base work both at school and organizational level. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a registered nurse with further training in health care for children and young people, open health care or school nurse training. You should have basic knowledge of documenting in computerized records. The work requires that you are confident in your professional role, can work independently, take initiative and have a good ability to see opportunities in situations. As a person, you have good interpersonal skills and a good ability to plan and prioritize your work. You have good interpersonal skills and an interest in working together in teams with different professional categories. You are flexible, responsive and find it easy to build trust and good relations with pupils, parents/guardians, colleagues and external partners.
