During the summer period, we need your help when our regular staff goes on vacation. We are therefore looking for a number of people who can support the business during the summer.

The work means that you are responsible for an area under constant change that places high demands on protection awareness and safety.

The service
We are now looking for a driven and committed production geologist who wants to contribute to a sustainable mining business in Pajala. As a production geologist, you are part of the planning department at the mine, which is responsible for both short-term and long-term mining planning, measurement, geology and grade control. The work means that you will work in an area under constant change that places high demands on protection awareness and safety. As our operations are conducted at the mining area in Kaunisvaara, we see that you are stationed on site there.

Tasks
As a production geologist, you work in a team responsible for mining planning at the Kaunisvaara mining area, where you will work to develop documentation / recipes to correspond to planned ore grades against outcomes. The production geologist also ensures that the right material mix and sufficient ore is available for the primary crusher. You work in close cooperation with the mine's production staff, so an important part of the work is to provide updated information regarding the mine's geology, both orally and in writing. The basis of the work is diamond drilling and rock sampling where the results will be processed, interpreted and result in a grade control.

Education and qualifications
We are looking for you who have a university degree in geology. Additional specialized training or experience in the specialized field of data quality control, structural geology and/or block modelling is an advantage. Having the ability to handle Microsoft Office programs, mine planning software and/or other CAD programs is also an advantage. The job requires the ability to communicate orally and in writing in Swedish and English. For employment, a driving license, class B for manual transmission is required.

The role requires that you have an interest in production issues and are committed and interested in solving daily problems. You are flexible and take responsibility for your tasks, which you structure, plan and manage effectively.

As a person, you are calm, attentive and courteous and you have an interest and ability to help others and strive to deliver solutions. You have a high level of cooperation, you listen, communicate and resolve conflicts in a constructive way.
