WORK TASKS
As a building inspector at Kiruna municipality, you handle the entire building permit process, from application to final decision. This means that you independently make a number of decisions within the framework of the permit review and during the time a project is underway. In addition to cases relating to the Planning and Building Act, the department also handles beach protection under the Environmental Code. An important part of the work involves delivering service and supporting both entrepreneurs and private individuals in matters relating to building permits.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have a relevant education in urban planning, law, architecture, building inspector/building permit officer or similar. Education in, or experience of, working with the Planning and Building Act is a requirement.
It is an advantage if you have experience of working as a building permit officer, building inspector or similar authority-exercising assignment.
The work of a building inspector involves a lot of contact with people. You therefore need to be service-oriented and have an outgoing approach. You communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, and you express yourself well. Commitment, autonomy and structure are important qualities. You have an analytical mind and good decision-making skills. Great importance will be attached to your personal qualities.
